DAY 2 | Museum of the Bible will present “Performing the Bible: Christian Drama and the Arts,” a two-day symposium at Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

Day 2:  March 23, 2018
             9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Day 2 of the two-day symposium featuring distinguished art, theater, music and literary scholars from around the world to discuss themes of performance in Christianity, from the early Church to the modern era, from the East to the West. Speakers will explore the meaning of sacred drama and analyze specific rituals, performances and dramatic practices that have developed throughout the history of the Church.   The event will also highlight how the dramatic presentation of the sacred is common in liturgy, reading, devotion and preaching, and how it can be seen as true theatrical performance.
